Son of Emmet George and Sara Compton Sadler. He married Dorothy May Montgomery on September 23, 1933. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Albert Foster Sadler. Mr Sadler was graduated from Kirksville State Teachers College, now Truman State University, in 1940. Later he received his masters degree in education from the University of Missouri in 1947. His adult life was spent teaching and coaching. He started teaching seventh and eighth grades in Elmer from 1932 until 1940. From 1940 until 1946 he taught seventh and eighth two years and served four years as superintendent at Ethel. He was then superintendent of the Keytesville Schools for 12 years while continuing to teach and coach boys and girls. He then moved to Paris where he was superintendent from 1958 to 1972. After 40 years he retired, moving back to the family farm near Yarrow. He was an active member in Retired Teachers Association and was also involved as a Mason, Shriner, Rotarian and Lions Club member. He was a former member of Phi Delta Kappa, the American Association of School Administrators and the National Education Association. A lifetime member of the Christian Church, Mr. Sadler had served a number of years as an elder in the First Christian Church at Kirksville.
He received the Outstanding Educators Award for leadership and dedication to education in the State of Missouri in 1986-1987.
