BURNETT, NANCY LEE, passed away on Sep. 23, 2011, surrounded by her loving husband and children. She was born in Grove City, PA, the daughter of Fred and Lorena Nordstrom. Following graduation from Allegheny College she became a speech and drama teacher in Ephrata, PA, where she met the love of her life, Al Burnett. She and Al moved to Winter Park in 1968 with their family, after acquisition of Contemporary Cars. Nancy was an active member of Interlachen Country Club where she enjoyed golf and bridge club. She was also a member of 101 and Town and Gown. She actively supported many charitable organizations in Central FL, and received an honorary doctorate degree from the University of Central Florida for her unfailing commitment to the University. In recognition of her generous legacy at UCF, the University's President's Home, Honors College and College of Biomedical Sciences are named in honor of Nancy and Al. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and some of her happiest times were those spent with the family on group vacations, holiday celebrations and special occasions.
