Kathleen Addison, 90, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Max C. Addison.

She was born in Hollis, Okla. on June 7, 1918 and graduated from Floydada High School with the highest GPA in school history. After graduating from West Texas State Teacher's college in 1938, she taught school for five years, prior to starting her family. She was a founding member of the Friendship Class at the First United Methodist Church, of which she was a member for over 50 years. She was also a Life Member of the Lubbock Women's Club.

She is survived by her loving children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Max Addison, his wife Linda and their daughter Alexandra; Kathi Elmore and her children, Will Elmore, Amanda Fitzgerald, her husband Ray and sons James and William, and Amy Gibbs, her husband Eric and son Jack. The family greatly appreciates Dr. William Kearse, Paulette, Magda and Michelle, Anita and the staff of Mackenzie House, especially Micki, Mandi, Sylvia, Connie, and Ida.

Memorial Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2009 at Bowman Chapel in the First United Methodist Church. The family will greet friends in the church parlor following the service. Private burial will be in the City of Lubbock Cemetery.
