Services for Max Clark Addison, 83, of Lubbock will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Methodist Church with the Rev. Keith Wiseman officiating and the Rev. Bill Fleming assisting.
Cremation will be under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
He died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001.
He was born June 30, 1917, in Jayton. He married Kathleen Hodge on Dec. 16, 1941, in Tallahassee, Fla. He graduated from Quitaque High School in 1934 and was a graduate of West Texas State College. He joined the Army in April 1941 and received his fighter pilot's wings and commission on Dec. 12, 1941, at Mitchell Field, New York. He served with the Air Corps until 1946.
In January 1944, he received his doctorate of jurisprudence from the University of Texas Law School and became associated with the firm of Crenshaw, Dupree and Milam. He was a partner with the firm for 35 years.
He was a member of the local, state and American Bar Association, as well as Texas Association Defense Council and Defense Research Institute. He was admitted to practice in state and federal courts in the U.S. Supreme Court. He was a member of the Friendship Class of First Methodist Church for 50 years.
