Elizabeth Emaline Deason, daughter of James and Eliza Deason, was born Oct. 14, 1886. She passed away Aug. 25th at her home in Hockerville, Okla.

She was united in marriage to John Freeland Long August 16, 1905 in Clayton, Missouri. To this union nine children were born, three preceeding her in death. The other children are Pvt. Coy of California, Pvt. Elwood of Texas, and Clarence, Curtis, Hazel and Maxine all at home.

She united with the Christian church of Hockerville several years ago. She was a faithful member and willing worker.

Besides her husband and children she leaves to mourn her going two brothers, Jeff and Virgil Deason, and four sisters Ella Burnett, Vida Stone and Minnie Barnes all of Licking and Lola Thompson of Baxter Springs, Kansas.

Lizzie was a kind and devoted wife and mother, a friend to all who knew her. She will be sadly missed in her home and by her friends.
