Kenneth P. Bartlett, 86, of Independence, MO passed away Friday, November 9, 2007. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, November 16, 2007 in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to VFW Post 9997. Kenneth was born November 2, 1921 in Bennington, NH to Perley and Beatrice (Keyser) Bartlett. He was a WWII Army Veteran serving in France, he was a member of the VFW Post 9997. Kenneth is survived by his wife Helen P. (Perryman) Bartlett; they were married October of 1970. Little is known of Kenneth to his NH family. He was born to Perley Foster Bartlett and Beatrice M Keyser.

Kenneth's maternal grandparents were Guy Keyser and Lura (Laura) Sargent

On June 8, 1940, he married Mariette Schmidt (dau of Edward Henry Schmidt & Alice M. Cheever). He and Mariette had two children.
According to his obituary, he served in the Army and was stationed in Normandy, later in life he was a member of the VFW in Independence MO. Records indicate that he enlisted in 1946 at Camp Butner (North Carolina) and was in the Quartermaster Corp.

He did not return to his family after the war or during his military service. In 1947, a divorce was granted in Nashua NH due to his absence.

He is next known to have married Helen Perryman in Oct 1970. At the close of his life, he made contact with his daughter, in Missouri, where they both had been living for over 30 years.
