Andy lived in the Parkchester Section of the Bronx and was a computer technician. He taught himself to read music and to play the piano.
In 1988, he wrote (along with his younger brother, Edwin) a beautiful song called, "Don't Walk Away." Andy was very proud of that song and his family was proud of his musical talents. He loved playing softball every Sunday with his family, especially with his brothers and father--who he called "Pop."
On Monday, June 24, 2002, tragedy struck the Vargas/Sanchez family, Andy was rushed to Westchester Square Hospital after suffering a massive stroke/brain aneurysm due to kidney disease and died the next day (on his birthday; June 25, 2002) at the age of 33.
Andy was a wonderful son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend and we all miss him very much. He was, and is still, loved by his family and friends -- especially his father, Radames. Not a day goes by that we don't think about Andy.
Rest in Peace and may God Bless You Always and Forever.
Though you are gone, YOUR MEMORY WILL LIVE ON FOREVER!
