George Grant Bennett Jr., 91, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on September 22, 2011 at Kingwood Senior Living Center. Mr. Bennett born March 8, 1920 in Kansas City, Missouri, son of George Grant and Florence (Hafley) Bennett. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He founded Bennett Rogers Pipe Coating in the 1950's, and operated the company with his son for over 50 years. Mr. Bennett was a Mason. He was a lifelong lover of dogs. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ethel Mae (Anderson) Bennett, his three children George Grant Bennett III, Kathy Sue Drover and Champ Clark Bennett, six grandchildren, and four great- grandchildren. Private services were held at Mount Moriah Cemetery in Kansas City.
