Robert Franklin's parents Samuel Culbertson Long, and Joanna C. Sharp-Long died in South Carrolton-Central City, Ky. area. Not confirmed but possibly burial in the Rosehill Cemetery.
( see the Muhlenberg Co. Cemetery book under Rosehill, Joanna Long was listed, and only a Rock with Long on it in the Cemetery with Long inscribed) .
Samuel Culbertson Long's parents are buried in the Bethel Presbyterian Church Yard in Western Fayette County, Ky. near the Scott-Woodford-Fayette Co. lines.

It is not known exactly when this couple and their children arrived in Muhlenberg but records indicate that this family was living in the Lexington, KY area prior to Muhlenberg tax records in Muhlenberg show a "Culbertson Long" taking 200 acres along the Green River in 1799 and then Samuel Long, in 1800, again with 200 acres on the Green River. This 2nd 200 acres was orginally recorded for Robert Cessna. On March 23, 1801, Samuel Culbertson Long, John Culbertson, and son Joseph Culbertson and son-in-law Robert Cessna, all claimed a right to 200 acres on the Green River, per court order books from Muhlenberg.

Samuel Long was born about 1771 in Cumberland Co., PA and married Johanna Culbertson about 1792 but whereabouts unknown. If the family was living in the Lexington area, then perhaps this was where Capt. John Culbertson was living prior to moving into Ohio, Logan and Muhlenberg Counties as is published.

Robert F Long is one of 6 children of Sam Culbertson Long.
