Loretta was born to William and Johanna (Engler) Henle. In 1934, she graduated from Beresford High School. She married Wesley Christiansen. She lived in the Beresford, SD area during her entire life. She worked as a receptionist for Dr. Hoard. Later, she worked at the Council Oaks grocery store as well as at the Beresford School lunch program.
She was survived by her husband; two sons; one daughter; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother. Her parents and one son, Luane, preceded her in death.
