Thela Fern Malle, 94, of Stillwater, Okla. died on Sunday, April 6, 2008 in Stillwater. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday April 10, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Stanley M. Warfield, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on June 7, 1913 in Nevada, Mo. to Judd Addison Chesnut and Bessie Belle (Roe) Chesnut. She married Albert Leon Malle on June 28, 1936 in Springfield, Mo. He preceded her in death on March 22, 1991.
She received her BA in Music from Pittsburg State Teachers College in Pittsburg, Kan. She moved to Stillwater in 1950. She was active in and president of many area clubs including the Eastern Star and St. Cecelia Music Club. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and sang in the choir for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one brother, Judd Allen Chesnut.
She is survived by two daughters, Diane Beeman of Stillwater, Okla. and Kathy Dearinger and her husband Tom of Stillwater, Okla.; five grandchildren, Jason Beeman of Doylestown, Pa., Jessica Beeman of Venice, Calif., Amie Andress and her husband Jeff of Edmond, Okla., Brett Dearinger of Stillwater, Okla., and Chase Dearinger of Stillwater, Okla.; three great grandchildren, Ashlee, Maggie and Maycie Andress of Edmond, Okla.; and one sister-in-law, Maxine Chesnut of Lamar, Mo.
Active pallbearers will be Jason Beeman, Jeff Andress, Chase Dearinger, Brett Dearinger, Michael Chesnut, and Judd Chesnut.
