Elvie Victoria Jackson, 102, of Elizabeth City, NC died Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Winslow Memorial Nursing Home. She was a native of Pasquotank County and the daughter of the late James Jackson and Eldora Savin Jackson. She was worked as a secretary at Miles Jennings most of her working career and was a member of Berea Baptist Church.
She is survived by three nieces, Alma Rumpf, Pearl Temple and Dorinda Walls; two nephews, M. J. Jennings and Raymond Jackson; and many great nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by two sisters, Achsa Jennings, Mamie White and two brothers, James Jackson and Horace Jackson.
A funeral will be Saturday, September 24, 2011 with the Rev. F. Joe Griffith officiating. Burial will be in New Hollywood Cemetery.
