SYRACUSE -- Betty Lou "Bea Bea" Fleck, 80, of Miller's Merry Manor, formerly of Goshen, died at 6:46 a.m. Sunday (April 12, 2009) in Miller's Merry Manor.

She was born July 20, 1928, in St. Joseph County, to Elmer L. and Emma (Nettrouer) Hygema.

One son, Doug Fleck of Syracuse, survives along with two grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruth (Jess) Wilson of McKee, Ky., and Beulah Hunsberger of Wakarusa.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie Fleck in 1982, and by two siblings, Edna and Roscoe Hygema.

Ms. Fleck worked in the kitchen at Goshen College. She was a graduate of Wakarusa High School

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford St., Wakarusa. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Harlen Steffen officiating. Burial will be in Olive (West) Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
