Agnes Laughlin Rowles January 3, 1907-July 4, 2002 Agnes Rowles passed away Thursday, July 4. She was born January 3, 1907 to Alice McGill and William Murphy and came from Ireland by way of Scotland to Windsor, Ontario, Canada in 1922. In 1926 she married Harry J. Rowles and they were a very happy and loving couple until his death in 1974. Agnes is survived by her children, Gerald Rowles and his wife Patsy Anne, Harry M. (Bud) Rowles and his wife Shirley, Laverne Eves and family of Windsor, Canada and widow of deceased son, Daniel Rowles , a daughter, Patricia Bonas and Michael Rowles of Texas. Agnes leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Mary Peterson and husband Pete of Bakersfield and two brothers, Frank Murphy and wife Helen, and John Killop and wife Madeline of Windsor, Canada. She was a beautiful, independent and remarkable woman, with a quick Irish wit and twinkle in her eye. Visitation will be held at Hillcrest Mortuary from 4 to 7 and Rosary at 7 p.m. Sunday. The funeral will be held at St. Josephs Catholic Church on Baker St. at 10 a.m., Monday, July 9, with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
