Hazel Ora Tomlin 79, of Springfield died Wednesday at St. John's Hospital.

She was born Feb. 24, 1918, in Monticello, Ky., the daughter of Charles Bradford Alexander and Elizabeth Smith Alexander. She married Isom J. Tomlin in 1934 and he preceded her in death.

Survivors: five sons, Glenn A. Tomlin of Middletown, Isom Junior Tomlin Jr. and Charles B. Tomlin, both of Springfield, Kenneth E. Tomlin Sr. of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Mark E. Tomlin of Virden; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Jackson of Baxley, Ga.; 15 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and four sisters, Margaret Lee Usherwood of Springfield, Sue Butts of Effingham, Lucille Iams of San Francisco, and Lorraine Theilen of Pleasant Plains.
