EDWARD GENE DeTROY, 76, of Paris, died at 12:50 AM, Saturday, September 17, 2011 at his home. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home and no formal memorial service is scheduled at this time.
Mr. DeTroy was born December 8, 1934 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Edward Lewis and Frances Maley DeTroy. He graduated from high school and joined the US Army serving in the occupational forces following World War II. He married Maxine J. Wiley on September 12, 1959 in Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. DeTroy was a maintenance electrician for AT&T for 30 years prior to his retirement.
Mr. DeTroy is survived by his wife, Maxine J. DeTroy of Paris; two sons, Ronald W. DeTroy of Paris and Edward K. DeTroy and wife, Gerlyn of Milford, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, Isaiah L. DeTroy, Angelleigh J. DeTroy, and Gabriella R. DeTroy; one brother, Douglas P. DeTroy, Sr. of Mount Arlington, New Jersey; and two nephews.
