Herbert L. Miller Is Dead, Aged 78
Ludlow Center, March 1--Herbert L Miller, 78 died suddenly this morning after a lingering illness of several years. He was a lifelong resident of Ludlow, being employed for many years by the Collins Paper Co., North Wilbraham. He was twice married, his first wife being Bernice Nash, who died in 1905. He marred (sic) Katherine Lyman of Montague in 1906 and had three children, two sons, Wells and William, both dead, and one daughter, Mrs. Imogene Darling of Miller St. The son, William, was killed during World War II. [This information is not totally correct. They also had another daughter, Roseamond, who was born prematurely in 1907 and lived less than one hour]
Mr. Miller was a member of Brigham Lodge of Masons, having received a 50-year badge recently, and a member of Grace Union Church, North Wilbraham. Besides his wife and daughter, he leaves one granddaughter, Ellen Darling. A Masonic service will be held Thursday night at 8 at the Kapinos funeral home, and a regular service Friday afternoon at 2. Rev. Arthur W. Kennan will officiate. Burial will be in Center Cemetery.
