Daughter of Rev. Sam J. Symth and Henrietta Polk Waddle. Leanna had one brother, William D. Her mother died when Leanna was 4 years old. Sam moved this family to McAlester/Indian Territory.
Leanna was working at Latham store. William Luther Wade started attending Rev Sam Symth church so he could get close to Leanna. They married April 19, 1903 in North McAlester.
They had 2 sons Henry Willian Wade and Marvin Luther Wade, died when he was 12 months old. 6 daughters Oleta Lavonne, Dorotha Leola, Adell Catherina, Wanema M., Stufona Moden, and Ella Dean.
They move to Savana for a while then moved out to Wade Mountain in 1916. They bought acreage on the mountain and built a small house. The children went to at Brewer school until 6th grade, then they went to school in Savanna.
The family moved back to Savanna in 1929. In 1932 Dorothy died and Leanna raised her son Harlon Gene Martin 'Bobby". Bill Wade died in 1935.
Stufona and her mother lived in Savanna until 1950 then moving back to McAlester. In 1959 they move back to Savanna.
