Katherine Harter King, 96, who came to Congress in 1888 and was a past president of First Families of Arizona, died Nov. 14, 1978, in Orangewood Baptist Estates.
Mrs. King, 7550 N. 16th St., lived in Phoenix since 1914 and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Eastern Star, Arizona Pioneers Association and Democratic Womens Club. She did alterations for Goldwater stores from 1937 to 1947.
Survivors include her sons, Glenn E. and J. W. "Jack" King, Harold C. and J. Howard Tovrea; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in A. L. Moore & Sons Mortuary, 333 W. Adams.
