James Lee Weidemann, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at his home.
Jim retired after 23 years of dedicated service with the U.S. Navy serving during the Vietnam War and was a Retail Budget Analyst at the Naval Supply Systems Command Headquarters Mechanicsburg. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Camp Hill and enjoyed many hobbies, especially bass fishing. However, Jim's greatest enjoyment was found in the time he spent with his family.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Terry (Gain) Weidemann, two children Laura Smeltzer (Brian) of Haymarket, VA; James L. Weidemann, Jr. (Autumn) of Shelocta, PA; a sister Judy Saeger of Belleville, IL; four grandchildren Olivia and Carter Smeltzer, and two additional grandchildren, as well as very special family friends Peter and Denise Ackroyd of Mechanicsburg.
Services will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, September 12, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Camp Hill with viewing held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Interment will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2000 Chestnut Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
