Darlene June (Gustafson) Hughson, 50, Lawson, Mo. passed away Tuesday, August 24 2010 at the Golden Living Center, Independence MO, following a three and 1/2 year battle with lung cancer.
Funeral services wil be at 11am Saturday, August 28 2010 at the Polley Funeral Home, Lawson. The family will receive friends 5-8pm Friday at the funeral home.
Darlene was born on February 15, 1960 in Independence to Carl L. and Sara D. (Barrington) Gustafson. She graduated from William Chrisman in Independence, the class of 1978. After graduation, she worked for Hallmark Cards in Liberty MO, where she met her husband of 29 years.
She is survived by her husband Johnny Hughson of the home, daughter Tara Hughson of the home, son Todd Hughson of the home, her Parents Carl and Sara Gustafson of Independence; 3 brothers: David Gustafson and wife Hanna of Independence, Carl W. Gustafson and wife Melody of Lee's Summit MO, and Mark Gustafson and wife Mary of Blue Springs MO; sister Sharon Hostetler and husband Will of Blue Springs MO; and many other relatives and friends.
