Christie Elizabeth Maugans, 77,
died Friday afternoon at 3:00 p. m. after a long illness.
Born in Rouzerville, Pa, she was the daughter of the late George and Susan (Hoover) Murphy. She was a member of the Grossnickles Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are son: John Roscoe Maugans of Hagerstown, Md., and daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Lewis at home, and Mrs. Irene Wolfe of Chewsville, Md., 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The funeral will be held at Grossnickles Church of the Brethren, Sunday at 4:00 p.m. by Rev. Basil Grossnickle. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The body will lie in state from 3:30 p. m. until service. Friends may call at the Minnich Funeral Home in Smithsburg, Md.
