Doris Ann Miller Fox,

Doris Ann Miller Fox, 68, of Georgetown, went home to be with Jesus Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011.

Doris was born Dec. 29, 1942, in Milford to Burton Miller and Lucy Revel Miller. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ronnie Fox, as well as her three children, Dorie Nichols and spouse Bobby with grandsons Matt and Steve and great-grandson Rhyley; Burt Fox and spouse Patti with granddaughter Candace; Becky Herbst and spouse Lee with grandson Michael; brother, Reginald Miller and sister Joan McBroom; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and faithful friends.

Doris dedicated her life to others. Through her encouraging words, beautiful crafts and culinary delights, she reflected God's love to anyone whose life brushed up against hers. She was very involved at Central Worship Center in Laurel, formerly known as Epworth Fellowship Church. She led the women's group, abundantly shared her craft and food creations, and ministered to shut-ins.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 4, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St. Millsboro, where friends may call after 1 p.m. Friends may also call from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 3, at the funeral home.

Burial will follow the funeral service at the Millsboro Cemetery. The Rev. David Landers will officiate.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts to support the research of FLT 3 Leukemia. Checks can be made payable to Johns Hopkins Medicine and mailed to: The Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, 100 North Charles Street, Suite 234, Baltimore, MD 21201.
