RITES INCOMPLETE FOR E.ADKINS, 69-
KEYROCK(RNS)-Emmett Adkins, 69, was pronounced dead at 4:30 p.m. Monday at a local Doctors office after a brief illness.-
Born at Saulsville, he was the son of the late I.E. and Cynthia Bower Adkins.-
He was a lifelong resident of Wyoming County.-
He retired in 1949 from the Cabot Gas Co. and was employed for 20 years with the Ritter Lumber Co.-
He was a member of the Cook Chapel Methodist Church of Keyrock.-
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ollie Acord Adkins; a son , Lessie B. of Chicago, ILL; three daughters, Mrs. Norma Lester of Keyrock, Mrs. Nellie Fitch of Chicago, ILL; and Mrs. Audrey Sands of Lynco; four brothers, Dan of Orange, Va., Jesse of Gordonsville, Va., Frank of New Richmond, and Oliver of Otsego; two sisters, Mrs. Viola Oliver and Mrs. Herbert Pendrey*, both of Keyrock; 21 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.-
The body is at McDougals Robertson-Foglesong Funeral Home in Pineville.-
