Randall Dean Adams, 62, of Centralia entered into rest on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011, at Boone Hospital Center. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, at First Baptist Church in Centralia, with Dr. Larry Lewis, interim pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Centralia. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3, at Fenton Funeral Chapel in Centralia, with a Masonic ceremony at 7 p.m. Honorary pallbearers are Don Torreyson, Dennis Mills, Joe Bryson, Richard Prenger, Jimmy Woolfolk and LeRoy Harper. Pallbearers are Jerry Beasley, Mike Meeks, Dane Pemberton, Todd Pemberton, Curtis Pemberton and Tad Pemberton. Randy was born Jan. 22, 1949, the son of Ernie Lee and Betty Jo Beasley Adams. On April 11, 1970, he was married at First Christian Church in Mexico, Mo., to Barbara Karen Benskin, and she survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Kristin Lee Adams; a son, Darren Douglas Adams and his wife, Michelle Lynn; three grandchildren, Ethan Douglas Adams, Olivia Noelle Adams and Avery Grace Adams; one brother, Alvin Pemberton and his wife, Lin, all of Centralia. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Daniel Lee Adams, on Nov. 24, 1968. Randy was a graduate of Centralia High School in 1967 and attended Linn Technical University from 1967 to 1968. Starting in 1968, he was employed at A.B. Chance Co. for 18 years. He started his real estate career in 1974 and established Adams Realty in 1982. His son, Darren Adams, became co-owner in 1999. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he served as usher and teller. He also was a member of Rotary, where he was honored to be a Paul Harris Fellow. He served on the Planning and Zoning Board for 25 years, was a member of Centralia Masonic Lodge No. 59 and was chosen Jaycee of the Year in 1976. The family suggests memorials to Centralia Masonic Lodge No. 59, 690 N. Jefferson St., Centralia, Mo. 65240.
