PORTSMOUTH, R.I. - Clifton "Kitty" Viola Lourie, 88, of Portsmouth, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 1996 in Portsmouth.

Mrs. Lourie, a native of Harrellsville and former resident of Buxton, was the retired owner and operator of the Buxton Sportsman Center. She was a member of the Buxton United Methodist Church and the Cape Hatteras Anglers Club.

Mrs. Lourie was the daughter of the late John and Lela Doughty Holloman and the widow of Richard P. Lourie.

Mrs. Lourie is survived by one daughter, Sara E. Cosgrove of Portsmouth, R.I.; one son, John C. Twaddle of Portsmouth, Va.; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at the Buxton United Methodist Church on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jim Huskins officiating. Burial will be in the Quidley Cemetery, Buxton. Twiford Colony Chapel, Manteo, is in charge of arrangements.
