Nina C. Croom Ashley, 72, of Chattanooga, died Sunday, Dec. 13, 1998, at her home.

She was a member of Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Eddie Ashley; two daughters, Brenda Taylor, Myra Jones, both of Chattanooga; three sons, James Harris, Michael Ashley, both of Chattanooga, Larry Taylor, Connecticut; mother, Minnie Croom, Florence, Ala: six sisters, Edna Page, Vernita Brewer, both of Florence, Carolyn Hallman Doris Salvage Delaware, Pearl Croom, Georgia, Gail Collins, Cincinnati; four brothers, Oliver and John Croom Jr., Florence, James and Napoleon Croom, Tuscumbia, Alabama.; six grandchildren, a great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at noon Friday at Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Ingram offici- ating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home and after 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Arrangements by the Trammell Chapel of Hardwick and Sons Funeral Home.
