Mrs. Georgia Hilliker Gordon was born in Thornville, Lapeer Co, Sept 5, 1855, and died Dec. 4, 1919, being 64 years, 3 months and 1 day old. At the age of 22 she was united in marriage to John Gordon of the same place. They at once moved to Clare Co., being among the first settlers in Hatton township where they lived continuously until one year ago when they moved to Battle Creek where she passed away after an illness of three weeks.
She leaves to mourn, beside her husband, seven children, Roy and Glen of Clare, Ray of Kalamazoo, Floyd of Spooner, Minn., Mrs. Nina Wood and Mrs. Vera Alwood of Battle Creek and Mrs. Lora Crumb of Watervliet, Mich. She leaves also 17 grandchildren and a host of friends. She was a good and loving mother and will be greatly missed by all.
The funeral in charge of Rev. Frank Bates was held at the Methodist church in Clare on Dec. 6 with burial in Cherry Grove.
