Wyman was the son of James Harvey Baker and Eliza Bartlett.

In 1863 he move with his family from Pennsylvania to Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

Wyman married Lillas Young September 24, 1876 in Plover. Wyman and Lillias remained in Stevens Point until 1919 when they moved to Roswell,Canyon,Idaho for a short time and then they moved back to Ripon, Wisconsin.

Wyman was a Millwright by trade and his duties in this trade took him to all parts of the United States and Canada.

Wyman and Lillias were the parents of 8 children. Kate M, Emma J, Elbert Howard, Stanley Bartlett, Inabelle, Wyman Clarence, Lloyd Neil,and Claude S.
