Paul H. Schaarschmidt

Paul H. Schaarschmidt, a resident of 40 Mawney St., died yesterday in St. Joseph's Hospital.

Mr. Schaarschmidt was the husband of Marion (Haid) Schaarschmidt.

He was born in Griez, Germany, Jan. 2, 1887, a son of the late Herman F. and Minna R. (Kupfner) Schaarschmidt. He had been a resident for 31 years, and previously had lived in Southbridge, Mass. for 20 years. he had been a superintendent in the Hamilton Woolen Mills, Southbridge, for 19 years, and later was a foreman in the Thies Dyeing Mill, West Warwick for 20 years, before retiring in 1959.

He was a member of Doric Lodge of Masons of Southbridge and the Southbridge Rod & Gun Club.

In addition to his wife, survivors include one son, Eugene H. Schaaarschmidt of Greenville; one brother, Frank Schaarschmidt of Carlstadt, N. J.; two sisters in Germany.

Funderal services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral Home of M.H. Comstock and Sons, 572 Elmwood Ave. at Columbus Square. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
