Lavon Earlene (Davis) Rickner, 89, wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, died on August 26, 2011 at her home after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Lavon was born on June 4, 1922, in Hinton OK to Earl Roscoe and Flora (Smith) Davis and was one of five children. She married William Dolph Rickner on December 3, 1939, and was married 71 years at the time of his death on May 17, 2011. Lavon retired from American National Insurance Company as Office Manager and then became a dedicated volunteer at Deaconess Hospital for many years. Lavon was an active, longtime member of First Baptist Church of Bethany. "Mom was a very sweet and caring person; she was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her."

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; baby daughter Patricia; siblings Loreta Adams, Leroy Davis, and Leon Davis.

She is survived by her daughters Louella Walker and husband Tom, Rilla Maritt and husband Bud; grandchildren Jeff Walker and wife Tina of Houston TX, Rilla Walker, Tom D. Walker, Ramae Collins and husband Phil, and Brad Maritt; great-grandchildren Blake Ketner, Katie Ketner, and Jeffery Mansfield-Walker; sister Louella Racette (Sacramento CA); and many nieces and nephews.
