Jon F. Coughenour, 65, of Jeannette, died Friday, June 20, 2003, in UPMC.
He was born May 18, 1938, in Greensburg, the son of the late Eric and Rose Marie Mayhugh Coughenour.
Jon was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jeannette and the Mt. Odin Golf Course. He was retired from school supply sales after more than 30 years. He enjoyed spending his leisure time with his friends at Mt. Odin. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
He is survived by three daughters, Laurie Sopher, of Greensburg, Jonna Coughenour and Mandy Coughenour, both of Charlotte, N.C.; two grandchildren, Sarah and Eric Sopher; two aunts, Genevieve Butler, of Florida, and Jenny Mayhugh, of Kentucky; and several cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Jon in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, 724-837-0020, Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home Monday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Henry Taliercio officiating. Interment will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery, Irwin.
