Graveside funeral services for Frances Pauline Aechternacht, 80, of Marshall will be held at Algoma Cemetery South in Marshall, Texas on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Ron Segers officiating. Burial will follow in Algoma Cemetery South. There will be a visitation from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, August 29th at the Downs Funeral Home. Ms. Aechternacht passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011.
She was born in Winfield, Texas to Ethridge Roach and Lillie Dillard Roach on May 23, 1931. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church. She was employed at Southwestern Bell for twenty-five years, and Marshall National Bank for eight years, retiring after sixteen years with First National Bank in Customer Service. She was married to James T. Browning, who passed away in 1969, and later married Henry D. Aechternacht, who passed away on April 25,1996.
She was active in the Victory Baptist "42" Group and played with the "42" group at Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors for Ms. Aechternacht are her daughter Pam Browning of Marshall, sisters-in-law Ella Mae Bruhin of Arlington, Carolyn Norman of Mesquite, and Jeannie Tomlinson of Rockwall, one great niece Lori Rigney of Mt Pleasant, and two nephews Jimmy Thomas of Mt. Pleasant, and Donnie Bruhin of Arlington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, and her special friend Gene Scott.
