Marjory Jean Slakes, 71, of Valparaiso, passed away on June 28, 2006, in Maryville, TN.
She was born on June 20, 1935 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, to Hugo and Mary Ann (Guckeisen) Leonhard.
On January 4, 1964, at St. Peter Claver Church in Sheboygan, WI., she married Terrance Slakes.
She worked as a daycare worker and was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Valparaiso.
She is survived by; her husband, four children Ann (Robin)Jenkins of TN., David Slakes of CT., Susan (Kyle) Cordes of Indianapolis, and James Slakes of Valparaiso, one grandson Ryan Jenkins of TN., and brothers Lee Leonhard of WI., and James Leonhard of WA.
Preceding her in death are her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 3, 2006, at St. Peter Claver Church in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, at 10:30 AM.
Visitation will be on Saturday, July 1, 2006, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Maryville, TN.
