Ernest "Ernie" Miller was born June 6, 1935 in Tabler, Oklahoma, the son of Robert F. Miller and Dorthy L. (Hill) Miller and had lived in the Valliant area since 1998.

He is preceded in death by his parents, three half-brothers and two half-sisters

Ernie became a hard worker at the age of four years old, pulling cotton, and continued working up until the last eight weeks of his life.

He married Mary Lou Piearcy on March 17, 1963 in Cement, OK. Ernie was a Korean War Veteran serving in the US Navy on the USS Ptarmigan, a minesweeper ship. He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge since 1977 and a member of the Valliant Masonic Lodge 301 for the last twelve years. Ernie was a Journeyman Welder with Pipeliners Local Union 798, since March 29, 1957 and was a 54 year life member. He enjoyed fishing, traveling with his work, history, visiting and playing with his two sweethearts and his two little buddies.

SURVIVORS INCLUDE: his wife, Mary Lou (Piearcy) Miller; one daughter Sandy Ellis & husband Danny of Valliant, OK; sons "Robbie" Miller & wife Abby of Valliant, OK and Clint Fears of Shelbyville, TN; sisters, Orene Goodrich of La Habra, CA and Montie Faye Turner of Midwest City, OK brothers, W. F. "Junior" Miller of Midwest City, OK and Don West of Chickasha, OK; four grandchildren: D'Andra Ellis, Justin Miller, LauraBeth Miller and Matthew Miller all of Valliant, OK along with a host of other family and friends.
