Daily Sentinel – Friday, 8 July 1910

Mrs. Hannah Catherine Bippley, whose maiden name was Winnegar, was born at Liverpool, Medina County, Ohio, March 2, 1838, and died at her home in Odessa, Friday, July 1, being 72 years of age. She was married to Mr. John Bippley in 1861 and soon after moved to Michigan and settled in Odessa Township, where amidst the forests, she and her husband made their home and where she continued to reside until she was called from this life. Five children were born in her home, two who died in infancy and three sons, Frank J., George A., and Will H., survive her.

Her husband passed away about ten years ago and Mrs. Bippley was the last of her father's family. Her people were members of the German Lutheran church and in youth she was confirmed in that faith. On coming to Odessa, she did not ally herself with any church as there was no Lutheran church near her home. She was a faithful wife, a devoted mother, a kind neighbor and leaves a wide circle of friends.

Her funeral was held at her old home Tuesday at 2 o'clock p.m. and interment was made at Lakeside Cemetery, Rev. Luther officiating.
