James Tyrone Stroman was born on May 15,1952 in Philadelphia Pa to the late Jasper Stroman and Ernestine Stroman-Parker. He was the first of Seven Children: Four Brothers Ronald Stroman, Jasper (Jabo) Stroman who precedes him in death, Kevin Stroman and Ernest Stroman; Two sisters Catherine Rudd and Jacqueline Odrick


James known as Tyrone or Jimmy to his friends and family was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System. In 1971 James joined the United States Army. He served in the Vietnam War and completed a tour in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1975. He held many different working positions in a number of companies throughout the Pennsylvania area. He was always willing to lend a helping hand.


Jimmy was the proud father of one son James Anthony Williams Sr and Three daughters Crystal Williams, Cheri Turner- Durant, and Shanda Stroman.


He lived in Atlantic City for a short period of time and enjoyed spending time relaxing by the ocean. One of the reasons Jimmy returned to Philadelphia was to be closer to his children and close family members.
