Daughter of Alexander and Sallie Etchison. Born in the Rockport community in Grayson County.
At the age of 38, Toy Marie Etchison married W. P. Jemison on May 28, 1924 in Atoka, OK. She had been employed as the family's school teacher. After Mr. Jemison's death, she continued to live in the old home place near Clarita until 1958 when she moved back to Sherman, TX.
She passed away in 1979 at age 96 and was sorely missed by her grandchildren. All but one (Osceola) of her seven step-children pre-deceased her.
