Bill was the second son of Sarah and William C. Lanier, Sr. and the husband of Helen Ford Lanier. He had two children William and Sharon Lanier and two brothers Jerald Morgan and James Aubrey Lanier. Bill was killed in a Helicopter crash while stationed at Fort Devens, Ma. He was predecesed by his Father and survived by his wife, his children, his Mother, his brothers and niece and nephew as well as many friends.
