Nan was first diagnosed with Breast cancer in May 1995. Initially, she was misdiagnosed which only took precious time away from her. When she was finally diagnosed with Breast Cancer, it had metastasized very rapidly and she had no time to fight. And if she knew sooner, she would have fought with all she had because that was the strong, beautiful person she was.
"She was a beautiful woman and a beautiful friend; and, I lost her the day before my birthday."
