Cassandra Elaine Flock, was the daughter of Dr. Eugene R. & Martha L. (Malone) Flock, and they lived most of their life in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Elaine died after moving to Oklahoma City to be with her Mom. She attended Northwest Classes High School in Oklahoma City, OK, until her death on August 13, 1968, in a car accident in Oklahoma City, OK, at the age of 17.

Elaine was beautiful, intelligent, and had the World in her hands! She wanted to be a doctor, and go on to do great things in the World. She never got the opportuity to fulfill her dreams that she so richly deserved, and all of us as her classmates, knew should succeed to in the highest....had she gotten the opportunity.

Elaine had a contagious energy, and spark for life and adventure that left everyone in awe, and always wanting to be in her presence! She was the spice of life, the life of the party, the friend everyone wanted to befriend, and had the gift to honesty, and always calling things and telling them just as she saw them. She was the REAL thing! What you saw was what you got, and she never pretended to be anything different. She was admired by all, and I know very few girls that didn't want to be her....if not, exactly like her!

Elaine had many friends in Weatherford, and we were shocked when she moved to OKC to live with her Mom after her parents divorced. Just prior to moving, she requested that her Mom let her change her first name "legally" from something she didn't like to Cassandra, and still going by "Elaine," her middle name. She was elated by the change, and I can't say that I blame her!

Elaine wanted to change the World, and with her suddenly and untimely death, she ended-up changing us...her classmates! After her death, we wern't the same class. We lived life to the fullest, and we were always there for each other, and still are to this day, and we all turned 60 this year. She was our loadstar, and inspiration for the remaining part of our lives. A very high number of '69 graduates went on to college, and many have been extremely successful in life and in business. Some thought our class as rather wild, but it wasn't that! We just learned, the difficult way, that one's life can be fleeting, and that you need to live and enjoy it while you can, because it could all be over one evening on a ride in a car on a wet pavement. " It is better to have lived happily and with excitement and make some mistakes along the way, for the real tragedy of life is to have had no adventurous in your life and failed, and to have not even tried at all!"
