Mrs. Lorene Webb, 87, of Huntwood Circle, Temple, Ga., passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009.
She was born February 22, 1922, in Carroll County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Lizzie Moates Heard and George Washington Heard.
Mrs. Webb worked for Sewell Manufacturing in Bowdon for 30 years and was a member of Liberty Christian Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grady William Webb.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Rachel Shaw of Bremen, James and Joyce Webb of Temple, G.W. Webb of Bremen, Peggy and Bruce Long of Temple; sister, Lucille Phillips of Piedmont, Ala.; sisters-in-law, Virginia Heard of Mableton and Gladys Heard of Piedmont, Ala.; seven grandchildren, Terry Shaw, Bobby Shaw, Jim Webb, Jill Carter, Deane Shaw Malone, Julie Webb Paul and Jason Long; also seven great-grandchildren; and special family friends, Lindsey Vines and Michelle Jones.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 26, 2009, at 2 p.m. from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Min. Tom Howard and Rev. Danny Brown officiating. Music will be provided by Buddy Gentry.
Pallbearers will be William Heard, Stanley Heard, Joey Malone, Derick Paul, Paul Carter, Dennis Shaw and Steve Vines.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Webb, Coty Malone, Cory Malone, Alex Cole, Austin Paul and Tyler Paul.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5 to 9 p.m.
