George Percival Chandler was, and is, our much loved Father. He was born at 152 Manor Park Road U.D, Willesden (in the sub district of Harlesden, (source Birth Certificate).
He married our mother Eileen Joel on 18 December 1948 at The Church of Our Lady and St. Thomas of Canterbury, Roxborough Park Harrow, Middlesex.
He died at Flat No. 3, 11 Roxborough Park, Harrow, Middlesex. The cause of death was carcinogen of the colon (certified by E. O. Mawhinney M.B).
Our mother's father, Joseph Henry Joel (father-in-law) of Hinton, London Road, Loudwater and our grandfather, Henry R Chandler, were present at the death, (source: Death Certificate).
Gerry served in the Army Veterinary Corps. His occupation after leaving the army was Cargo Officer Civil Airlines (British European Airlines BEA, which was absorbed into British Airways in 1974).
Gerry had two sons: Daniel Glen Joel Chandler (born 18 Apr 1952)and Gerald ('Gerry')Grant Chandler (born 12 May 1956 1956).
Our mother Eileen later remarried John Williams at Kerrier in Cornwall in 1969. They had a son, Matthew John Williams born in Surrey who is our half brother. Headstone is white marble but very dirty and almost black in Aug 2011. It will be cleaned as soon as I can get there. GGC Thu 18 Aug 11.
