She was born May 30, 1910 in Monroe County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Hugh Elbert and Iva Mae Anderson Kyker. She was a native of Sweetwater, Tennessee and a resident of Chattanooga and North Georgia for 68 years. She grew up on a farm and developed a passion for gardening, quilting, sewing, reading, traveling and most of all love for her family. She married Gilford Adams in 1935. They had four children together and she was left a widow in 1952. She made many sacrifices for her children and was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of East Ridge Baptist Church, East Lake Seniors and past member of Cardinal Gardening Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gilford Trent Adams; son, Gary M. Adams; grandson, Kevin Lee Sutton, Sr.; five brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include son, Colin Wayne Adams; daughters and sons-in-law, Cecil and Janice Sutton-Harris and Jim and Theresa Ann Weathers; grandchildren, Deborah Sutton-Smith (Smitty), Robin Sutton-Seymour (Steve), Kelli Booth (Jeremy), Dina Adams Katona (Scott), Danny Weathers; 10 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Hutcheson Hospice, caregivers Diane Bramlett, Callie Woody and granddaughter Deborah.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Dr. Ronnie Mitchell officiating.
Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
