Obituary - James F. Barrett, Sr.

Solemn requiem mass was observed in St. Colman's Church, Ardmore, 9:30 A.M. Wednesday, for James F. Barrett, Sr., who died Sunday. The Rev. Raymond O'Donnell was assisted by Rev. Daniel McKinley and Rev. Charles Collins, of Overbrook Seminary. Interment was in St. Agnes' Cemetery, West Chester.

Mr. Barrett, who was 65 years of age, was a resident of Ardmore for 10 years, and was a clerk in the Autocar Company until the first of January when he became ill. He was a member of the Holy Name Society, St. Colman's Church, and of Division No. 4, Ancient Order of Hibernians, in West Chester, where he was born.

Surviving him are his wife, a brother, John Barrett, Narberth; a sister, Mrs. Martin Welsh, West Chester; and three sons, John F. Barrett and Hubert J. Barrett, Ardmore, and James F. Barrett, Jr., Lansdale. Pallbearers at the funeral included Hugh Sheridan, Thomas Hickey, Martin Costello, Patrick Schofield and Peter Henry, all of Ardmore, and Richard Lacey, of Narberth.
