Frances Earl, 95, of Evan died Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the Gil Mor Manor in Morgan. Funeral service will be 11 AM Monday, July 25, 2011 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm with Pastor Rebecca Krogstad officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in New Ulm. Visitation will be 10 - 11 AM Monday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. Frances is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Nancy Earl, Larry and Carolyn Earl, all of New Ulm. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Earl; and by a granddaughter, Amanda Earl in infancy. Frances Marie Wandersee was born July 15, 1916 in New Ulm to Paul and Marie (Krieger) Wandersee. She was a 1934 graduate of Springfield High School in Springfield. Frances was united in marriage to Marvin Earl on September 28, 1939 at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm. After marriage she worked at the New Ulm Rural Telephone Company. They moved to Evan in 1946 where she was employed at the Evan and the Cobden Post Office. She moved to Countryside Apartments in Sleepy Eye in 2001 and then to the Gil Mor Manor in Morgan in 2006. Frances enjoyed bird watching and playing cards. She was a member of the St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Evan where she was a past Sunday School teacher and a member of the Ladies Aid. Frances also volunteered with the American Cancer Society of Redwood Falls. Memorials are preferred to the St. Matthews Lutheran Church or the Gil Mor Manor.
