OSHKOSH MAN STRICKEN AFTER SHOVELING WALK
Carl Levenhagen died at his home, 1502 Oregon Street, Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock as the result of a heart attack. He had not been ill but had cleaned the walk in front of his home yesterday morning. Mr. Levenhagen was born in Germany, June 29, 1861. He came to this country as a young man and had resided in Oshkosh for 48 years. Survivors are his wife; one son, William Levenhagen, Oshkosh; and five stepsons, Louis, Herman, and George Gurath, Oshkosh; John Gurath, Stevens Point; and William Gurath, Fond du Lac. Also surviving are four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, August Levenhagen, LaPorte, Ind.; and two sisters, Mrs. Louise Koeppen and Mrs. Marie Hannemann, LaPorte, Ind. Mr. Levenhagen was a member of Emmanuel Evangelical Church. Funeral services are to be held Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Konrad Funeral Home and at 2 o'clock at Emmanuel Evangelical Church with the Rev. Paul L. Stange as the officiating clergyman. Internment will be at Riverside Cemetery. The casket will not be open in the church. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday afternoon and until the time of the services.
LEVENHAGEN - Funeral services for Carl Levenhagen were held Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Konrad Funeral Home and at 2 o'clock at Emmanuel Evangelical Church. The Rev. Paul L. Stange officiated. Selections were sung by Mrs. Otto Sprague and Mrs. Walter Seelmacher. The body was placed temporarily in the receiving vault at Riverside Cemetery.
