A resident of Hattiesburg MS and New Orleans LA, he died Sunday, July 31, 2011 in New Orleans. Bob served in the US Air Force during the closing days of WWII. Later, he was a professor of Fine Arts at Loyola University in New Orleans, where he taught Mime and Movement for three decades. He was preceded in death by his parents, George S. and Mildred Herndon Fleshman. His remains were buried at the foot of his maternal grandmother's tomb. By all accounts, he was her acknowledged favorite.
