Morris C. Warren, Lovingly known as "POP", was born September 13, 1921 to Christine Thompson in Ipsilanti, Michigan, but was raised in Nashville, Tennessee. He departed this life at the age of 71 at Northlake Medical Center, January 4, 1993, Tucker, Georgia, after a brief illness.
He was married to the late Annie E. Charles at the age of 21, and was the father of five children. A father figure and a positive role model to many, many young people, he was tireless in his efforts to help young reach their potentials.
Morris was educated in the Nashville public schools, and received a B.A. degree from Tennessee State University, and a Masters degree from Tennessee State University in Administration. He was a retired principal of the Mt.Vernon High School, Mt.Vernon, New York. He relocated in Atlanta in 1989.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Allen. He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory, four children, Morris Warren, Jr. of New York, Remona Barr, Mt.Vernon, New York, Darrell Warren, Rockhill, South Carolina, and Cathy Warren, Highlands, New York; a very special devoted love, Marie Williams, Lithonia, Georgia; two brothers, Fred Douglas, Warren, Ohio, and Christopher Douglas, Freeport, New York; one suster, Debra Bell of California; one daughter in-law, Joyce Warren, Rockhill, South Carolina; two sisters in-law, Charlotte Douglas, Warren, Ohio, and Edith Austin, Hempstead, Long Island; one brother in-law, Joe Bell of California; fourteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of wonderful friends.
