A memorial service will be held for Margaret Ruth Ice, 91, of North Bend at 1 p.m., Friday, Feb. 12, at Skyline Baptist Church, 3451 Liberty St. in North Bend with pastor David Woodruff officiating. Private burial was held at Sunset Memorial Park in the Garden of Greenacres in Coos Bay.

Margaret was born May 7, 1918, in Bandon, the daughter of Edward Lee and Margaret Comfort Culbertson Webb. She died Feb. 5, 2010, in North Bend.

She married Gilbert LeRoy Ice July 3, 1937, at Fisherman’s Landing, Wash. They lived in Bandon and Coquille, where they owned F&M Meat Market and Margaret was an employee of Safeway. They moved in 1957 to Coos Bay, where she worked at Steve’s Market in Empire until they closed. In 1965, she moved to North Bend and was employed at Coast to Coast/Bay Appliance in Coos Bay for 27 years until her retirement. Margaret lived in North Bend until her death.

Margaret is survived by her sons, William L. Ice and wife, Betty of North Bend and Gerald G. Ice and wife, Joann of Coos Bay; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
